I know I often get confused and for that I will take responsibility for that....but I have been watching and reading about the protesters on Wall Street and the nation who want to "End Corporate Greed", to "Put People before Profits", you know the slogans and the drill.
But what does all of this mean? No profits or expansion of business? No dividends? Hire people but have no real function or output for them? Just fold and go home....then increase unemployment?
I understand we are upset with the banks and Wall Street in general....but what rule/regulation did not work? Most likely the rule which was not enforced........kind of like gun laws (IMHAOWO).
If we (collectively) invest in corporations we expect a return on our investment....this is responsible investment...so if a corporation puts other interests ahead of making a profit, won't we lose on our investments?
Unions invest in these funds, we also do through our 401ks, etc.
Maybe I just do not understand.
I leave it up to you.
